It was a tough match today at Pennington after a long week. Still we had many highlights today and great attendance. The Hirsch, Sanderson and Modzelewski families were out in force. Our boys also continue to draw fans from the student body.

There were had wins at second doubles and third singles. Sanderson and Meekins cruised. DJ had an excellent win coming back in the second set from 4-3 down to close out the match. Neeraj did not have his best game today and Pennington’s second singles player is unusually strong and would play first on most teams. It became clear that they needed to win the first doubles match.… Read More

Recently, the Supreme Court was in session for a review of the Affordable Care Act, known as “Obamacare.” Since the bill was proposed in 2010, its support has waned dramatically. In fact, in recent weeks, support for President Obama’s health care bill has reached an all-time low. According to a poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation, only 34 percent of people still favor health care reform, leaving the rest with an unfavorable view of the changes to come. Even amongst the liberals, Democratic support of the reform has dropped by half, leaving President Obama at a distinct disadvantage in the upcoming election.… Read More

Iqra Asghar, X
Staff Writer

This spring, junior Cody Triolo proudly became the first Princeton Day School Boys’ Lacrosse player to verbally commit to a Division-1 program in over ten years. Triolo is looking forward to attending Lehigh University, whose lacrosse program is currently ranked seventh in the country. His hard work, determination, and leadership skills have led the midfielder to become one the strongest offensive players on the team, according to Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse coach, Robert Tuckman. He declared, “[Triolo] has achieved an elevated level of play because of his strong work ethic.” These qualities proved crucial in PDS’s second place finish in Prep States B last year and Triolo’s selection to the all-Bianchi-Curcio League second team.… Read More

You may see her walking around the hallways or coaching on the fields, but have you ever really gotten to know Coach Jill Thomas? A lifelong athlete, mentor, and coach, she has dedicated herself to the Princeton Day School community. While she has coached many sports, including field hockey, softball, basketball, swimming, diving, and volleyball, she is best known for her contributions to the Health and Physical Education Department and the Girls’ Lacrosse program at PDS.

Jill Thomas started her lacrosse career at Ursinus College in Pennsylvania. Without any previous experience, she fell in love with the game and had enormous success in her position as a defensive-wing.… Read More
